Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements
To be eligible for our scholarships, you must be a graduating high school senior planning to pursue a higher education and currently live, or have lived, within the geographical area of Freedom Area Community Theatre’s influence. That’s it. You do not have to be seeking higher education in the performing arts. We do require that you maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA your first semester of school. To ensure this, we require your first semester transcript before physically awarding the scholarship. Tweet at us @FACTplayers, post on our Facebook wall, or email us with any questions.
About our Scholarship
When the idea of forming a community theatre in Freedom began back in 2008, all of the founding members agreed upon a few key points: offer more theatrical experiences for the community, promote the arts in Freedom, and provide a scholarship to our graduating seniors.
After only five seasons the Board Members of Freedom Area Community Theatre are ecstatic to announce FACT will be offering TWO scholarships! More details will be released in the coming months, so follow us on Twitter and Facebook to make sure you stay up to date. We can say that our scholarships WILL NOT be limited to seniors graduating from only Freedom High School since we have some excellent participants from other schools each year!
Scholarship Goal
Freedom Area Community Theatre’s goal is to offer a scholarship to a individuals who are pursuing an interest in the performing arts. The individuals may choose a performing arts major or minor, or volunteer time performing or helping any theatre.
